Bright colors can come with a hidden neurological question. Controlled studies and a California health assessment found that synthetic food dyes can contribute to hyperactivity, inattention and other neurobehavioral changes in some children. These dyes are common in candy, drinks, cereals and packaged school snacks.
Read ingredient lists for Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1 and other synthetic dyes. Choose naturally colored or dye-free foods more often.
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink… do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
Ask God for wisdom in choosing foods that nourish rather than merely attract attention.
